The DW-5K boasts a 30-foot RF range, while operating in continuous power conservation mode for a 6-month average battery life. Because the DW-5K uses radio frequency signals, it is not susceptible to the line-of-sight issues associated with infrared keyboards. The DW-5K utilizes a USB dongle for plug and play ease, including automatic keyboard detection by the host computer. In addition, the DW-5K comes with a manual binding feature that locks in the keyboard’s signal, providing keystroke security, the ability to operate multiple wireless keyboards within the same environment and a barrier from interference with other wireless devices. With its sealed, silicone rubber keypad and robust ABS polycarbonate case, the DW-5K meets NEMA 4X specifications, certifying the unit is resistant to water, dust and corrosive liquids.

Intrinsically safe keyboards are available in both desktop and panel mount models.
